Vinay Disley is an executive thought leader with over three decades of extensive experience in enterprise risk management and cybersecurity frameworks. His career was marked by a deep understanding of leadership vision, strategy formulation, and the execution of strategic programs and business leadership.

 Throughout his career, Vinay demonstrated the ability to steer a global corporate outlook through excellent relationship management and influencing skills across key stakeholders in a VUCA (Volatile, Uncertain, Complex, Ambiguous) environment. He advised audit committees and management leadership on risk posture, business implications, and mitigation strategies.

Vinay has a proven track record of establishing consulting services in India, ASEAN, Australia, and the Middle East. He showcased proficiency in business development and service delivery responsibility, including P&L management for practices he led. Combining his strategic planning and subject matter expertise, Vinay drove the cybersecurity roadmap, architecture, and operational strategies for clients globally.

Professional Experience

Vinay served as a Strategic Advisor at STARCSEC, UAE, supporting an early-stage startup in Application Security Posture Management. He assisted the founder team with product functionality, go-to-market strategy, pricing and contracting, partnerships with GSIs, and business development.

Previously, in Cognizant Technology Solutions, Netherlands & Bengaluru, he spearheaded cybersecurity practice, managing solutions, implementation, and large transformation programs for clients across various industries. He oversaw a portfolio of $200M in annual services revenue and led a team of over 2800 FTEs. 

His journey at Wipro showcased his exceptional strategic vision, significantly elevating the company's industry position. As Vice President & Chief Risk Officer (2015 – 2016), he managed enterprise risk across Wipro's IT and BPO businesses, focusing on cybersecurity, contract compliance, data privacy, intellectual property, and regulatory compliance.

In his role as General Manager, Wipro (2015 – 2016), Vinay led greenfield initiatives in corporate risk management, designed risk mitigation strategies, developed policies, and automated processes, and expanded pilot projects across all strategic business units. He collaborated with law firms, law enforcement, and industry bodies like NASSCOM. Vinay also established Wipro's consulting business across ASEAN, Australia, Japan, and China, contributing to profitable growth.

Further, Vinay carved a niche for Wipro in a market dominated by the Big 4 by leveraging his expertise in Cyber Security and Risk Management. He managed business transformation services, strategic cost reduction, and IT strategy consulting practices in India, APAC, and the Middle East. He also strategized geo-entry approaches, successfully penetrating markets in India, Singapore, Malaysia, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Australia, and the Middle East.

Early in his career, Vinay worked as a Business Consultant at PwC, specializing in operations and systems risk, internal audit, and statutory audit support.
